Importer Notes
About 650–750 local farmers deliver their cherry to the Bensa-Aroresa Washing Station in Sidama, Ethiopia. Each farmer grows coffee as well as other crops for household use or sale on about 2.5 hectares of land. Once the coffee is delivered to the washing station and sorted, it is de-pulped the same day and fermented underwater for 24–48 hours, depending on the weather. After being washed clean of mucilage, it's spread on raised beds to dry for 10–12 days.
